Hanna Trojanowska was born on 14 June 1958 in Bydgoszcz. She graduated from the Electrical Engineering Department, Czech Technical University in Prague (CVUT), specialization: nuclear energy. She also completed a training project at the Institute of Atomic Energy in Swierk.In 1990-1991 she was fellow researcher of the International Atomic Energy Agency at the UK Nuclear Electric, Nuclear Safety Division in Bristol and Knutsford, the United Kingdom. She also completed a training course “Company Strategic Management” at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences, and the One-year Postgraduate Management Programme at the Warsaw School of Economics.
In 1982-1991 she worked as an assistant designer and designer at “Energoprojekt” Bureau for Energy Studies and Projects, branches in Warsaw, Gdansk. Between 1991 and 1997 she was the main expert for the installations for flue gas desulphurization at the Air Protection Foundation in Warsaw. Since 1997 she worked at Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne S.A. (since 2007 PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna S.A.), where she held senior positions, including: Director of the International Cooperation Department, Director of the International Affairs and New Technologies Department, Director of the R&D Department, and most recently the Director of the Atomic Energy Department. On 15 May 2009, the Prime Minister of Poland appointed Hanna Trojanowska for the position of the Government Commissioner for Nuclear Energy to perform duties as undersecretary of state at the Ministry of Economy. She is a member of many professional organizations, such as the Polish Nuclear Society (member of the Executive Board), the Council for Atomic Energy Matters, Polish Member Committee of the World Energy Council, the Polish Electricity Association, as well as the Council of the Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology in Warsaw. She is fluent in English and Czech. |
