Title: “Poland – The New Business Hub and Technology Center in the European Union”
It is well known that there is fierce competition in Central and Eastern Europe to acquire talented scientific personnel on a global scale. Countries such as Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Serbia are particularly rich in producing talented IT specialists. Many Japanese companies are interested in IT talent in the Central and Eastern European region, and for example Mynavi Co., Ltd., the second largest staffing company in Japan, has expanded into Poland, it’s first leg in the EU and is increasing its activities in order to acquire IT talent. At the same time Poland has been attracting attention as a technology and business hub in the region.
At this presentation we will explain more about the trends. In addition, as a chamber of commerce, we also support business between Poland and Japan and third countries which we will touch on it as well.

Toyama Prefecture Manufacturing Comprehensive Trade Fair (T-Messe)
The Toyama Prefecture Manufacturing Comprehensive Trade Fair (T-Messe) is held every two years with the aim of exhibiting manufacturing techniques and products from within the prefecture, as well as from overseas, promoting economic exchange, and introducing manufacturing techniques to visitors. The Asian Economic Exchange Center of the Toyama Prefecture New Century Industrial Organization, a public interest incorporated foundation, has been organizing international trade fairs since 1999, NEAR21 (Northeast Asia Economic Exchange EXPO), which was held for the purpose of economic exchange between companies in the Northeast Asia region and companies in Toyama Prefecture. I have been involved in In 2015, NEAR was integrated with the “Toyama Techno Fair” held by the Toyama Prefecture Mechanical and Electrical Industries Association, and the name was changed to the “Toyama Prefecture Manufacturing Comprehensive Trade Fair.”
Nowadays, the exhibition is attended by many domestic and foreign companies, and by locating both domestic and foreign companies in the same venue, we aim to provide even more international business opportunities.
In 2023, “T-Messe 2023 Toyama Prefecture Manufacturing Comprehensive Trade Fair” is scheduled to be held from October 26th (Thursday) to October 28th (Saturday). This will be the first time in four years that the exhibition will be held in a real exhibition. It is possible to meet companies that you would not normally meet.
